Whey Protein vs. Casein Protein

Casein protein increases muscle protein synthesis slightly less than whey protein. However casein protein is far superior to whey in preventing muscle protein breakdown. The best bet is a blend of both types to cover the full range of their benefits and difference in digestion time and remember to aim to take in at least 1 gram per pound of bodyweight every day.
